Our Beliefs

Globalheart Church is a member of the Australian Christian Churches (ACC) - a movement of almost 1100 churches and nearly 300,000 believers.  For the ACC's full constitution, history, leadership, and statement of belief, please visit: www.acc.org.au.

Evangelical beliefs

Our beliefs are fundamental and evangelical - our sole textbook being the Bible, which is the only infallible and authoritative word of God.

(2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Pet 1:19-21; John 5:39; Matt 24:35)

One God

We believe there is one God, the Creator, eternally existing in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.

(Gen 1:1; Isaiah 43:10-11; 2 Cor 13:14; Matt 28:19; John 14:16-17)

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, that he is the Son of God. We believe in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.

(John 1:1-3; Matt 1:23; John 14:30; John 2:11; Isaiah 53:4-6; Matt 28:6; Acts 1:9)

Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the second coming of Christ.

(John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thess 4:15-17)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit with His fruit and gifts abiding in the Church.

(1 Cor 6, 12 & 14; 1 Cor 1:7)

Baptism

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit for all believers with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit gives utterance.

(Acts 1:1-8; 2:1-38; 8:15-19; 10:44-47; 19:1-7)

Spiritually Lost Condition

We believe in the spiritually lost condition of men.

(Gen 3; John 3:17, 18 & 36)

New Birth by Faith

We believe in the essential need of the new birth by faith in Jesus Christ.

(John 3:3 & 16)

That the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Christ.

(1 Pet 1:18-19)

Lord's Supper & Baptism

We believe in the sacraments of the Lord's supper, and baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, for all believers.

(1 Cor 11:23-26; Matt 26:26-28; Mark 16:16; Matt 28:19)

Power of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.

(Gal 5:16; John 14:16-17)

Divine Healing

We believe in divine healing by personal faith in Jesus Christ.

(Matt 8:16-17; James 5:14-15; Mark 16:17-18)

Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.

(John 3:36; John 5:28-29; 2 Thess 1:8-9; Rev 20:11-15)
